ECHOES OF EARTHFIRE

Journey Behind Call of Tetonia

Excerpt from a letter to Dr. Susan B. Eirich, Co-founder of Earthfire Institute

Reflecting on my time at Earthfire, I’m still deeply moved by the sacred experience of being with all of you during such a transformative moment. When I received the invitation to come to Earthfire, it felt like a leap, but there was a deep knowing that I was meant to be there. The timing aligned perfectly, to gather in that space, at that moment, felt like a profound privilege and honor. The collective energy we shared — connecting with each other, the land, and the animals — was transcendent. It felt like we were weaving together a thread that connected past, present, and future, honoring Jean's passing and our own shifts in the process.

One particular synchronicity recently came to mind, involving wildflowers. Having worked with flower essences for years, I realized that the essences I’ve been using over the past year contained seven wildflowers from the Grand Tetons Wildflower Trail. The land’s calling was unmistakable — a reminder of the deep interconnectedness we all share.

There were many profound moments during my time at Earthfire, but one experience with the wolves stands out. One wolf, whom we were told not to approach, locked eyes with me in a piercing golden gaze. In that instant, time seemed to stand still. It wasn’t just a look — it was a silent exchange, a profound unspoken understanding. There was no fear, only a fierce recognition of power. In that gaze, I was reminded of my own strength. It was as if we both acknowledged the power we carry, not in dominance, but in presence. In that moment, I felt a deep reconnection to my own courage and power — like a warrioress who has earned her place and learned to trust it fully.

Inspired by this experience, I created Call of Tetonia, a sound journey that blends the energy of Earthfire’s wolves with the timeless resonance of Tibetan singing bowls. This offering was born from our shared connection with the land, the wolves, each other, and all of life. It is an invitation to ripple out Earthfire’s mission ~ to call forth the wholeness within us and bring that wholeness to all of life: humans, animals, plants, and the land ~ thriving together in unity and wildness.

100% of the proceeds from Call of Tetonia will go directly to Earthfire.

I hope this offering serves as a meaningful contribution to the vital work of Earthfire, supporting the animals and land that continue to inspire us all.

As I continue to reflect on the guardianship and wisdom unfolding in my life, I am deeply grateful for the role Earthfire and the animals have played in my journey. You continue to inspire me, and I look forward to where this path will lead us as we walk in service to the wild places and beings who guide us. I look forward to returning to the magic of Earthfire.
